Are You Ready?

The summer is starting to wane, the air is getting a little cooler, the apples are beginning to ripen, and all this can mean only one thing: Football season approaches!
We here at the Casino Snob like pretty much any sport, but few hold such a warm place in our hearts as Football. We're not talking about soccer, although we do like that too, we're talking about good old American smashmouth football. Its exciting, its hard hitting, and its a drama of muscle and determination that we just love watching every week.
And seeing as we are entering the football season (which starts on September 7th incidentally) we've decided to share our insights into the sports betting that can be had around the fine institution that we call the NFL.
Let us first begin by stating clearly, that gambling on sporting events and the NFL in particular, is only legal in one state, good 'ole Nevada. So if its sports betting you're interested in, best pack your bags, and plan that trip you've been holding off on. And if you're contemplating online betting.. this may not be the best time.
If you can't visit Vegas, then we reccommend you and your friends engage in a legal form of competition, via a Fanatasy Football League. The notion has been around for ages, but the tools have never been better. Try our favorites: Yahoo and Sports Illustrated .
Now if you ARE heading to vegas, the sports bets are ALL over the place.
Vegas.com Has the listings of casinos that have a sports bet.
Our favorites:
Harrah's -- Extra hours in football season, relaxed atmosphere, and its a little more private. We almost feel like its our own living room... with better waitresses.
Aladdin -- Also extra hours in football season, drink tickets (free drinks if you do any horse betting), some new gear to make the space more comfortable.
Excalibur -- Halftimes for NFL games, lots of seating, and an 8 foot by 10 foot TV.
So what are you waiting for? Get some tickets to Vegas, and go bet on the Future.
