Strictly Slots: Controlling your Cash

We were browsing the net recently trying to find more interesting nuggets to bring to you all, when we found a magazine called Strictly Slots. Its a player magazine made for those gamers who are into slots more than other kinds of gaming. If you are the magazine type, we encourage you to pick up a subscription. If however, its the web you crave, then happily they have their archives online, so you can read some of their articles.

One we came across was from the May '06 issue called "Controlling Your Cash Chill Out, It’s Only A Game
Casino visit should be a relaxing experience by Bill Burton". The title is a mouthful, but the article good stuff, and it outlines a few ways that you can learn to keep an eye on your money and not blow it all in your first ten minutes at the slots. We really felt that the article was in synch with our own take on slot gaming. Namely that its a form of enjoyment, and you should never rush a thing like that.

Don’t play more than one machine at a time: Playing more than one machine just exposes you more to the house edge. In the long run you will just lose your money faster. Playing two machines involves standing or leaning out of your chair to reach over to the adjacent machine. Like the lady caught up in the slot frenzy, this is not very relaxing. Sit down in the chair in front of your machine and relax.
