No Walk Out at Foxwoods?
It seems that the walkout of employees at the Foxwoods Resort and Casino in Connecticut that was expected to happen over the New Years weekend failed to materialize.
"The Mashantucket Pequot tribal chairman said this morning that the tribe-owned Foxwoods Resort Casino cares about its employees and questioned the "momentum" of the group of employees who planned to call out sick in large numbers.
…'If those people had the momentum they claim, we would've seen something over the weekend,' said Michael Thomas, chairman of the tribal council, after today's inauguration ceremony for tribal leaders.
"'He's right,' said spokesman Bruce MacDonald. 'We had a very busy New Year's Eve. We were fully staffed. We were over-staffed just in case a lot more people called (out).'…"

Well, while its always good to see gaming establishments staying open for business, we hope that at least all the publicity has awakend the Foxwoods management to the grievances of its employees so they can be addressed.
